I stole this one from Violet.
What kind of soap is in your bathtub shower right now?
Irish Spring (mine), And Kelly’s soap, umm, I think from Guelph SoapWorks?
Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator?
Not now, it’s out of season. But we did.
What would you change about your living room?
The floor. Needs new carpet or maybe hardwood. But hardwood would be too noisy no?
Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty?
Dirty, clean ones come out in the morning, and the process starts again.
What is in your fridge?
Food. Most of it edible.
White or wheat bread?
Wheat. But really I prefer rye.

Dust I’m sure. And more cupboards above that.

The one on the tub is just plain grey. The shower is large open concept, no curtain or door needed
How many plants are in your home?
Oh you’re going to make me go count eh? Ok, be right back. 22 plus the two that will be brought in from outside when it gets cold.
Is your bed made right now?
No, because Kelly is not here. She makes it usually. Too hard for me to do.
Comet or Soft Scrub?
Depends. Comet, or that Magic Eraser thingey.
Is your closet organized?
Well, now, you would have to define organized. I think it is, but Kelly would say it’s not.
Can you describe your flashlight?
I have two long black machined aluminum Maglite flashlights that use three D-cell baterries each. They are impact and water resistant with a high intensity adjustable beam. I’ve never been asked to describe a flashlight. Most people have a pretty good idea what one might look like.
Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home?
Glass. I don’t like plastic. Water bottles are an exception, but that is at the office.
Do you have iced tea made in a pitcher right now?
What? Do I look like Martha?
If you have a garage, is it cluttered?
Again, define cluttered. Both cars are in there, and the workshop part in the back is a bit messy, but it’s not a complete disaster.
Curtains or blinds?
Blinds.
How many pillows do you sleep with?
Five. All different shapes and sizes.
Do you sleep with any lights on at night?
No. I like complete darkness to sleep.
How often do you vacuum?
I never do. Kelly does that. Again, hard to do for me.
Standard toothbrush or electric?
I have both. I use electric in the morning and standard at night.
What color is your toothbrush?
Both are white, the standard one has blue on it too.
Do you have a welcome mat on your front porch?
We have a plain mat. And some hedgehogs for you to wipe your shoes on.
What is in your oven right now?
Cabbage Rolls. OMG the house smells soooo good!!!
Is there anything under your bed?
Some electrical cords, and sometimes a cat that likes to leap out and grab Kelly’s feet.
Chore you hate doing the most?
Paying the bills. And don’t suggest automatic withdrawal. I will never give corporations access to my bank accounts.
What retro items are in your home?
If by retro you mean old. Then lots of stuff. If you mean trendy snooty retro-looking junk, then umm, nothing I think.
Do you have a separate room that you use as an office?
Yeah, I guess the Den would qualify.
How many mirrors are in your home?
Ahh c’mon, I have to go count again? Sigh…11 or 12, counting the little ones.
What color are your walls?
Oh for crying out loud…this is a lot of work! Most of the house is earth tones. The den is green, dinning room is cranberry, and the the basement is a peachy colour with lilac bedrooms. Disclaimer: I am a guy. I will not be held responsible for not using the right name for a colour.
What does your home smell like right now?

My favorite? Are you serious? We have two. One is over 45 years old and is Huge, heavy and Red. The other is just a hard cover book on the shelf, the dustjacket is also red. It might be Burgundy, maroon or Crimson, but I’m a guy, so it’s just Red.

I prefer solid.
Is there a smoke detector in your home?
Yes, that is the law. There are three, one on each floor. Not the battery kind, the kind that is wired right in.
In case of fire, what are the items in your house which you’d grab if you only could make one quick trip?
Well, if Bailey and Owie are out, then I think the portable hard drive and as many pictures as I can carry.
Hardwood floor – – go for cork instead! It’s quieter but just as strong and durable AND it’s a renewable resource, too.
I prefer rye bread, too!
Your resemblence to Martha, I’m surprised no one has mentioned it to you yet! 😛
Your dual toothbrush usage intrigues me. Why both kinds?
I love online bill payment – but not the auto-deduct kind. It’s fun to sit down and pay everything all at once and have that neat tidy pile of paid-bills to be filed.. Yum!
12 phones? Like, one in each room? Please tell me you have the ringers turned off on some of them – else I’d imagine it would scare the ganoodles off of anyone who wasn’t expecting to hear that kind of cacophony when someone called! Or, at least, people down the block would know whenever you got a call…?
– Yeah I’ve heard that about Cork. I have to find out about durability with a wheelchair.
– The dual toothbrushes. Well it seemed the experts can’t agree on what’s better for your teeth and gums, so I do both and figure I’ve outsmarted them. 🙂
– I do pay all my bills online. It’s still a chore.
– Phones. First let me say there are 3 seperate phone lines in the house. So they would not all ring at once, producing a cacophony as you call it. (lol) And yes, some of the ringers are off or very low so they could only be heard in the room you are in. I remember when Kelly moved in, I think I heard her say a couple times, Oh look, another phone! (pretty sure I detected sarcasm.)
– I look like Martha eh? Hmm…that would explain all the doilies
These are funny things to do. I really care that you use two toothbrushes. But your reasoning is fun/maybe smart even. My DDS recommends the noisy electric one. I use it because it does the work for me. Talk about lazy!
I like rye too. I don’t care about the rest of it. Healthy teeth to eat good rye bread with a hard crust. The important things in life.
How are you doing Sans Kelly Day #?
I’m was going through withdrawal. But she finally posted again so I got better.
Lynn…this was one of two posts today….keep reading..:-)
