I’ve Been Tagged!
November 17, 2007
I was tagged to do this Meme by my sweetie and by Lynn I will of course oblige, however I will have to break one of the rules. The Rules are:
- Link to the blog of the person who tagged you.
- Post these rules on your blog.
- List seven random and/or weird facts about yourself.
- Tag seven random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
- Let each person know that they have been tagged by posting a comment on their blog.
Ok, well, if I had been asked to give you seven related things about myself and make sure they all properly segue from one to the other, I would not have had a hope in hell. Today I have the attention span of a rabid squirrel. But I can do random.
- When I was little I wanted to be an Architect when I grew up, just like Mike Brady on the Brady Bunch. To this day I absolutely love looking at blueprints and elevation drawings. I was completely geeked when I got to work with an architect to design the house we live in now.
- I hate centipedes. The big fat ones that run a million miles per hour. I will flee from any room screaming like a school girl if I spot one.
- I have a scar on my right knee from taking a flip over the handlebars of my three speed bike when I was 7 years old.
- My favorite ice cream is Ben and Jerry’s Chunky Monkey.
- I am against owning guns, yet I think I would like to go to the US and find a shooting range where I could fire a variety of hand guns, just to see what it feels like.
- I haven’t had a toasted peanut butter and banana sandwich in a long, long time. 3 or 4 years for sure. I just thought of that. I have no idea why.
- My first kiss was when I was in grade 7. It was at a birthday party and we were playing spin the bottle. It just so happened that the bottle stopped on the girl I had a crush on since grade 4. I floated home.
So there you have it. Seven random things. I am not able to tag seven people however. Every blogger that I visit regularly has already been tagged. So I must break that rule. Sorry.

I really enjoyed reading these random things! I also had my first kiss in Grade 7 – at the drive-in! And my bike scar from when I was 7, is on my left knee.

Some gun clubs will let you come and shoot random guns here in Canada! (Or did, several years ago). My Dad’s Corvette club held a gathering at a club in Hamilton and he brought me with him to fire .22, .40 and shotguns and all manner of rifles. IT WAS SO COOL!
I still have the targets here (and will gladly whip ’em out any chance I get to show ’em off) and I swore I was going to get my firearm’s PAL simply so I could go and shoot at a range…it was THAT much fun.
But the cost of the PAL classes and then the permit and then a gun and.. well, let’s say that for a sport that I “enjoyed” but wasn’t sure I could be fully committed to for any length of time, it just didn’t work out for me.
Now I feel compelled to find a range to drag you to (read: us! me, too!)..
AND, Coffee hates centipedes too! He screams like a girl and goes full-out twitchy with whatever squishing-implement he can reach as he runs. 🙂
Oh thank G-d I thought for sure I would get tagged a third time! OY! Enough is enough! So much for staying annonymous here in Blog Land! LOL
You reminded me of my first kiss (or the one in 7th grade anyway…I got invited to a party where we also played spin the bottle…I’d just turned 12 and a half and got to wear a little lipstick. Kenny someoneorother got me, he was a year older, I followed him into a closet and he said: “Okay stupid, up here”…tugging on my chin and then he kissed me! I was between humiliated and excited! Not smart enough to be fully humiliated!
So much for fond memories!
My favourite ice cream is Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia.
My brother ate peanut butter & banana sandwiches (and sometimes peanut butter and honey) … usually as “dessert” after dinner. He was 6’3″ tall and skinny as a rail all his life … and died about 10 years ago, but your post brought back the memories. Thanks for sharing. It’s nice to get acquainted in this way.
Hugs and blessings,
