And We’re Off…
Alright, bad news folks. It seems that the cottage does NOT have Internet access. In fact, I checked the coverage maps, and I’m not even certain my Blackberry will work up there.
At first I was a bit frustrated with the realization that I was about to be completely disconnected for a week, but I’ve come to not only accept it, but look forward to it. I’m convinced it will be a very healthy experience, that is, once I go through my detox period and the shakes subside.
Kelly is already asleep and I will be heading to bed as well in a few minutes. We leave bright and early tomorow and if all goes well we’ll get there by dinner. Or soon after. Or whenever. We’re on vacation, the drive is all part of it. No rush, no expectations.
So it isn’t likely you will hear from either of us for a week. If I break down and find a library I may plug in and post a few pics for y’all. Otherwise, I’ll give you the full download in a week or so.
If any of you are geeky and curious, our co-ordinates for the next week will be 45°17’47.95″N and 79° 0’56.65″W

Dang, Syl, you guys will have as much catching-up to do as you will catching-up to provide for all of us!
Julia and I will be arriving at our vacation destination only a few days before you are headed back home, so we will have plenty of opportunity to enjoy your stories and photos once you get home and are able to upload all of them. Lots of leisure time, that’s our goal, even though we will have internet access (temptation, thy name is The Web!).

Syl, i find this very funny. You can go weeks here without posting anything…keeping us checking in, wondering, waiting…and now all of a sudden you are going to go through withdrawls on vacation? I don’t think so.
(I did, but I am truly addicted)…
You and Kelly will enjoy your freedom, your free time, your time “away” from this world. And emmerce yourselves in nature and each other and food and air and nature and all things good and wonderful.
Of course it will be wonderful to hear all you want to share about it when you return.
